Obit of the Day: “Thriller”
Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch was home to a veritable menagerie hosting flamingos, giraffes, elephants and primates (yep, including Bubbles) and two prominent feline residents - Thriller and Sabu, two Bengal tigers.
The sister and brother were born in 1998 and lived at Neverland until 2006 when they were moved to the Shambala Preserve in Action, located in California and managed by Tippi Hedren. (The same Tippi Hedren who starred in Alfred Hitchcock’sThe Birds.)
Thriller passed away at the age of 13 on June 11, 2012. Sabu still lives at Shambala which is open to visitors. The preserve is dependent on donations, so you if you are interested, you may donate here.
