Obit of the Day: Jonylah Watkins, 6 months old Jonylah Watkins was shot six times on Monday, March 11 while her father, Jonathan Watkins, was changing her diaper. She died of her wounds on March 12, 2013. The Chicago Police Department has no leads on the gunman. He apparently approached Mr. Watkins from behind, fired and ran away. He jumped into a blue van that then drove off. The police escorted the ambulance to the hospital, an action normally reserved for wounded officers.
