In honor of the illegitimate son of a businessman who was born in the West Indies, served as Washington’s aide de camp, became the first Secretary of the Treasury, established the financial backbone of the young U.S., alienated friends and foes, was blackmailed by the husband of his mistress….and kept having the affair, and was then killed in a duel by a sitting Vice President of the United States on this date, we ask an important question….
